Peter has over 35 years of experience in international business. After attending Curtin University under a scholarship from the Western Australian Department of Minerals and Energy he embarked on an extensive and successful career in the global resources industry. His success was not only recognized in exploration and mining but as a key strategist in the mergers and acquisitions fields. Peter was the principal engineer behind the takeover of Australia’s largest independent grocery and supermarket group and a founding developer of Australia’s largest mineral water company prior to its successful takeover by one of the world’s major beverage groups. Peter has, over recent years, become extensively involved in the funding, concept and management of a number of technology and media projects and companies. Peter has substantial expertise and experience in corporate management, funding and growth strategies and in the international finance and equity markets, corporate start-ups and mergers and acquisitions.
Prior to his involvement with Hot Shot Media, Chris worked for a number of years with an ASX-listed boutique broking firm, initially as a Research Analyst, subsequently acting in such positions as Compliance Manager, Head of Research and later as Senior Corporate Advisor, primarily in the IT and biotechnology industries. He has also served as a Political Advisor, bringing insight with respect to industry collaboration as well as government grants and partnerships. In addition to studies in Economics, Commercial Law and Political Science at the University of Melbourne and Curtin University of Technology, Chris also studied Financial Planning at the Financial Services Institute of Australasia. Chris is Chairman of Terabyte Computer Products (Australia) Pty Ltd, a consultancy firm and major shareholder of the Company.
A 20+ year Marketing veteran, the past 15 in Digital e-Commerce. With classic marketing training received while at Clairol/Bristol Myers Squibb, Dion then became part of the core team to pivot FTD out of receivership and launch FTD.com on Nasdaq. He then moved to San Francisco, where he led Strategic Partnership Marketing for BOA online banking. Next, Dion ran Advanced Analytics/Behavioral marketing consultative teams for e-commerce with Symphony/IRI. He then took over e-commerce Marketing for Viacom/MTVN, re-working Nickelodeon e-commerce businesses. In 2007, Dion helped launch a UGC video trivia gaming company (VideoJax) working with clients such as SONY, News Corp and Paramount. Until joining Hot Shot Media, Dion ran North America’s Marketing/Strategic Initiatives e-Commerce for Betfair, the world’s largest legal gaming exchange. Dion is a 2x winner of Golden “Effies” for Effectiveness in Advertising and has spoken at numerous industry events including Ad Tech, among others.
