Paul Fullwood | Bio

"Traveling through the jungle on this track near San Salvador, we were stopped and arrested by armed communist soldiers, held at gunpoint and lined up for summary execution, saved only by the arrival of a “Capitan” who was kind enough to allow us to pay for our lives, in cash."

Josh Bakken | Bio

"I used to have the worst digital camera EVER!! Actually it wasn't all that bad but the shutter speed was horrible. Anyway, when taking shots with movement I always had to try to time the shots just right...but I was never very good at it. Here's one of my favorite shots where I obviously "missed" it but it turned out to be one of my favorite pictures of all time."

Sam Urton | Bio

"This is a picture of my daughter and her cousin, on the Williamsburg, Brooklyn side of the East River in New York City. You can see the Brooklyn Bridge in the distance. It was a very hot and humid day in August, and dark storm clouds had quickly rolled in over Manhattan. I shot this image just as a massive gust of wind blew in over the river, bringing with it an intense rain & thunder storm seconds later. We ran for cover to a nearby ice cream parlor."

Keith Tan | Bio

"Capturing my memories of the inaugural Qantas Airbus A380 service on the Kangaroo route between Sydney and London Heathrow. The Qantas Airbus A380 operating between Australia and the United Kingdom represents yet another evolutionary moment in global air travel, continuing to shrink boundaries and break barriers."

Sean Coady | Bio

"Hiking to Brooks Falls in Katmai National Park in Alaska, I came around the corner and met this huge coastal grizzly face-to-face."

Gary Leung | Bio

"Being pushed by the crowd at Notre Dame, Paris, I stopped briefly and enjoyed the beauty of the candles and the stained glass windows in the background."

Siv Lam | Bio

"During a vacation in Puerto Rico, we explored Los Morrillos, the cliffs & caves at Boqueron Beach. This was an impromptu hike. All I had were my flip flops to serve as hiking boots. I snapped this picture at the top of a 200-foot cliff. If you look closely, you can see my toes just a few inches from the cliff's edge. I wanted to capture the waves crashing below without falling over. It sure was scary!"

Christian Yee | Bio

"The view from the cable car that takes you up the cliffs of Masada is breathtaking, but probably less so than walking to the top."

Adam Deschamp | Bio

"This was my first photo taken while living in San Francisco. I walked out to the 9th floor balcony of the Art Institute and captured a quick photo before class."
